Entering its second season, the Wessex County League has rapidly established itself as the definitive competitive platform for veteran players across the region.

Our inaugural year saw intense competition and exceptional sportsmanship, laying the foundation for an expanded Season Two featuring 16 county teams across four age divisions.

Ball Height Restriction

Players must maintain a walking pace at all times. Infringements result in indirect free kicks, ensuring the game's unique flow and competitive spirit.

Physical contact is strictly prohibited. Qualified match officials rigorously enforce this rule to prioritize player safety and fair play on the pitch.

The ball must not be played above head height. This key FA Law encourages tactical ground play and precise passing, central to the walking football ethos.

The Wessex County League season culminates in a spectacular finale at the prestigious Dorset FA Headquarters, showcasing the region's top talent.

All sixteen county teams will converge for a day of decisive matches, celebrating the competitive spirit and camaraderie that defines our FA-sanctioned league.
